Trucking in Louisiana
LSU Cook Conference Center * Baton Rouge
November 2-3, 2011
The annual LMTA Fall Transportation Conference “Trucking in Louisiana” will be held on November 2-3, 2011 at the LSU Cook Conference Center & Hotel in Baton Rouge.
As in the past, we have invited a representative of every state and federal agency that impacts truck operations to give you an update on current issues and events related to their office.
Special Presentations
- Compliance Safety Accountability (CSA) Seminar. Jim Angel, Safety Security and Compliance Product Manager with PeopleNet, will cover the basics of CSA – What it can mean to your company and how to interpret the data to improve your operations.
- FMCSA Pre-Employment Screening (PSP) – Elizabeth Pemmerl will discuss this FMCSA program that offers carriers and driver’s access to MCMIS driver records and how carriers are using these records as part of the pre-employment review process.
- CSA Motor Carrier Panel. Dufour Petroleum, Plains Marketing and Tango Transport will discuss how their companies are addressing the CSA program.
- Vehicle Renewals & IRP. The OMV’s failure to send out renewal notices resulted in nearly $110,000 in late fees collected by the state. The late fees ranged from $3 to over $28. OMV is now sending refunds to those affected. There have also been a few problems associated with the privatization of the IRP, the HVUT Form 2290, etc. Here is your opportunity to ask questions and hopefully address any unresolved issues.
