Dear LMTA member,

Thank you for the opportunity to serve as your President for the 2011/2012 year.   To be elected into this position of an association with such a long history of effectively representing Louisiana’s trucking industry is a great honor.   I pledge to use my time and talent to complement LMTA’s very capable staff to promote this year’s agenda.

Membership certainly comes with its advantages with LMTA.  Annual events such as Fall Conference, Truck Driving Championships, Seafood Gala, and Convention are always on the agenda.  This year we are also making a Call on Washington, conducting another strategic planning retreat, and starting our “Leadership LMTA” program.   These events are in addition to the non-stop efforts to promote and defend trucking’s best interests with Louisiana’s Legislature and Governmental agencies.  Please accept my invitation to get involved and participate, it will be the most profitable move you’ll make all day!

Enclosed is a list of committees available for each member to participate.  Pick as many as you would like; your involvement makes the association even stronger for everyone.  LMTA staff, officers, and board members are all great resources if you have any questions about the role of each committee.  Thank you in advance for your selections.

“The Success and Support of the trucking industry” is LMTA’s mission statement.  Indemnification to Lane Restrictions, CSA 2010 to Hours of Service, Registration fees to Sales tax exemption, Louisiana Motor Transport Association covers it all.  Join with me to make 2011/2012 LMTA a success for Louisiana Trucking!
