Make plans now to join us for the 2008 LMTA Seafood Gala at The Sugar Mill on Convention Center Boulevard in New Orleans. With a new location and an exciting dance band, this year’s Gala promises to exceed your expectations and carry on the tradition of being one of the greatest events of the year!
As always, we will have an abundance of delicious hot boiled crawfish, some boiled shrimp to add a little variety, more of our delicious jambalaya, those fantastic ice cream sundaes and our popular Bourbon Street Balcony hospitality suite! If that isn't enough to get you ready to go, we will also have music by Voodoo Funk & Soul Co. – an exciting New Orleans dance band with a smokin’ hot four-piece horn section!
ICE CREAM SUNDAES!! What would our Gala be without those awesome ice cream sundaes? Stewart & Stevenson, Detroit Diesel & Allison Transmission will sponsor our famous ice cream sundae bar. We promise to have plenty of ice cream and an assortment of toppings for that discriminating palate!
RAFFLE TICKETS.Raffle tickets for cash prizes to be given away at the Seafood Gala are available for advance purchase. Simply indicate the number of tickets you would like to purchase on the Reservation Form and include that amount with your payment. Your raffle tickets will be included with your Gala tickets when mailed. Additional raffle tickets will be available in the Hospitality Suite and at the Seafood Gala during the band's intermission. Cash prizes in the amounts of $300, $200, and $100 will be awarded.
LMTA HEADQUARTERS HOTEL
Royal Sonesta Hotel.
Yes, we’re back at the Sonesta! This year's Seafood Gala Headquarters Hotel will be the Royal Sonesta located at 300 Bourbon Street. Rates are $175 and reservations should be made directly with the hotel (504-586-0300 or fax to 504-586-0335). The room block will be available through March 28th and any cancellations must be made 72 hours prior to arrival.
Hospitality Suite. We will be back at the famous Bourbon Street Balcony Suite at the Royal Sonesta. RoadRunner Towing & Recovery will sponsor this year’s Hospitality Suite, which will be open on Saturday afternoon before the Gala and again following the Gala. See you there!
SHUTTLE SERVICE. Shuttle service will be provided to and from the Royal Sonesta to the The Sugar Mill. The pickup and departure times should closely follow this schedule: From Hotel to The Sugar Mill 5:15 p.m. – 6:15 p.m.
From The Sugar Mill to the Hotel 9:15 p.m. – 10:15 p.m.
